Recommendation IV

Again starting this, as I have a lot of things that I loved recently...

DON'T WORRY, HE WON'T GET FAR ON FOOT

Movie on Amazon

Genre: Drama

It is a movie about a guy, who is an alcoholic and had an accident and now he is in a wheelchair forever. One of the most beautiful movies I have come across, the cast, acting and story everything is perfectly aligned. It's a slow movie but makes you move from inside. Do watch if you like the trailer...

THE MEANING OF LIFE

Book on Amazon

Genre: Non-fiction, Philosophical

This book is a small but very effective read. It took me few months to complete this. If you are into philosophy and psychology then this can be an interesting read. Must for people who want to live a meaningful life in every area of their life. It is a book to keep re-reading to get more and more clarity. You can check out my highlights of this book, here

Another two books from School of Life, which is a great read! I would put "What They Forgot to Teach You at School" my favorite read of 2022 so far. Very insightful and useful books to live a meaningful life.

P.S. I am a fan of this organisation and what they do, so my thoughts can be biased towards the books.

Return to Space Movie on Netflix

Genre: Documentary

It's a documentary on how Elon Musk's SpaceX became the first private company to send astronauts to space. It shows how Elon Musk works, his failures, his mindset and a lot more that goes into sending people to space and becoming successful in it. Must watch if you are an Elon Musk Fan.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

Movie on Netflix

Genre: Real-life Inspired

Recently saw this and was speechless. When it came to theaters, I didn't go as I didn't find anything interesting but when I saw it, everything is on point and hit where it was supposed to hit. Acting, Music, Story and Message.

Definitely worth watching.

"The craziest events – good and bad – happened because little events, each of which was easy to ignore, compounded. Innovation in particular is hard to envision if you think of it happening all at once. When you think of it as tiny increments, where current innovations have roots planted decades ago, it’s more believable – and the range of possible outcomes of what might be achievable explodes"

A beautiful article was written by Morgan Housel on how things occur and what can be the cause of them.

Superb message on marketing and brand building by Steve Jobs

"To me, marketing is about values" "Apple spends a fortune on advertising you'd never know it. So when I got here, we just fired our (marketing) agency. The question we asked was our customers want to know who is Apple? And what is it that we stand for? Where do we fit in this world?

What we're about isn't making boxes for people to get their jobs done, although we do that well, we do that better than almost anybody in some cases but Apple is about something more than that. Apple at the core, its core value is that we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better." "Those people that are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that actually do"

Thanks for reading.

If you want to buy any of the above books and want to support me a little bit too: You can mail me the book title and I can give you an affiliated link (which you can use to buy the book from Amazon at normal rates but I will get some commission out of it).
